Introduction of College
Government Degree College Sitarganj, Udham Singh Nagar was established in 2014. The college is located in peaceful village Sisona on Sitarganj Haldwani road. The college is affiliated to Kumaon University, Nainital since its establishment. The college was started with six subjects in the arts faculty, namely Hindi, Political science, History, Sociology, English, and Education. Commerce and Science faculty were introduced in 2019-2020 respectively to provide better opportunities to the students. Moreover, in order to develop moral values among students with the best quality of higher education, the college offers extracurricular activities like NSS and Rover Rangers. It also contributes to the National programmes such as Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, Voter Awareness, etc. to evolve a humanistic attitude and spirit of service among its students. With its modern infrastructure facilities and library, the college aids the students in their studies. To provide education to the working population, the college has an Uttarakhand Open University centera on its campus, providing an array of undergraduate courses like B.A, B.COM, and B.SC. The college is endowed with highly qualified, energetic, and supportive faculty in all the departments who encourage the academic ambience of the college.

राजकीय महाविद्यालय सितारगंज ऊधम सिंह नगर जनपद के पिछडे़ एवं जनजातीय वाहुल्य क्षेत्र में उच्च शिक्षा प्रदान करने हेतु 14 जुलाई 2014 से कला संकाय के कुल छह विषयों हिन्दी, अंग्रेजी, समाजशास्त्र , शिक्षाशास्त्र, राजनीतिशास्त्र, तथा इतिहास के साथ कुमाऊॅ विश्वविद्यालय नैनीताल से अस्थाई सम्बद्वता प्राप्त कर प्रारम्भ हुआ उत्तराखण्ड के तत्कालीन मा0 मुख्यमंत्री श्री विजय बहुगुणा ने इस क्षेत्र में उच्च शिक्षा की आवश्यकता एवं जनता की माॅग के दृष्टिगत इस महाविद्यालय की स्थापना कराई।
